Ethan Weems

Ethan is a senior Honors student majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Data Analytics. He has received the Summer Undergraduate Research Grant, the Arkansas Governor’s Distinguished Scholarship, the University of Arkansas Chancellor’s Scholarship, and the Honors College Academy Connection Scholarship. Ethan has been included on the Dean’s and Chancellor’s lists multiple times and was a finalist for the QuestBridge National College Match and Honors College Fellowship. Ethan has worked on projects involving the experimental and computational characterization of air-cooled heat sinks, design optimization of heat sinks and cold plates, and the development of novel immersion coolers for power electronics. He is currently investigating the modeling of high-efficiency air-source heat pumps for his Honors thesis.
